About the Graduate Programme

Bidvest International Logistics is expanding its use of AI-enabled analytics and automation to improve reporting efficiency, productivity and business decision-making.

The successful graduate will join the Information Systems Department and focus on data analysis, gaining practical exposure to technologies including Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Copilot and other approved Microsoft technologies.

The programme will provide an opportunity to develop practical skills in modern analytics, AI and automation while supporting real-world business intelligence activities.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, BSc, BCom, Diploma or Advanced Diploma.
  • Qualification in Computer Science, Software Development, Computer Engineering or a related IT field.
  • Must be a recent graduate or final-year student.
  • Good academic performance will be advantageous.
  • Relevant Microsoft or technology-related certifications will be advantageous.

Technical Skills and Experience

Candidates should have:

  • Basic understanding of SQL, including SELECT statements, joins, filtering and aggregations.
  • Understanding of reporting, analytics and data interpretation.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power BI.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric will be advantageous.
  • A demonstrated interest in AI, automation and data-driven problem solving.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 productivity tools, including Microsoft Copilot.

Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Data Analyst, you may be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and validating scheduled Power BI report refreshes.
  • Assisting with the administration and monitoring of Microsoft Fabric workspaces.
  • Supporting semantic models, dataflows and data pipelines.
  • Testing and validating datasets, reports, semantic models and dataflows.
  • Developing and maintaining reports and dashboards.
  • Producing analytical outputs to support business decision-making.
  • Assisting users with report navigation and interpretation.
  • Analysing data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and actionable insights.
  • Developing effective prompts for Microsoft Copilot.
  • Using approved AI tools to improve reporting, analysis and productivity.
  • Supporting documentation, troubleshooting and research activities.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive reporting and data preparation processes.
