Epiroc is inviting applications from ambitious South African youth for its 2026 Apprenticeship Programme based in Krugersdorp, Gauteng. The programme offers practical training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in engineering and equipment servicing.

Successful candidates will join Epiroc’s Equipment & Service business area and receive industry exposure while working alongside experienced professionals.

Available Apprenticeship Opportunities

Epiroc is recruiting for the following apprenticeship positions:

  • 2 x Millwright Apprentices
  • 2 x Fitter Apprentices
  • 2 x Turner Machinist Apprentices
  • 2 x Tool, Jig and Die Maker Apprentices

Purpose of the Apprenticeship

The programme is designed to help apprentices:

  • Develop technical and engineering skills.
  • Gain practical workplace experience.
  • Learn equipment maintenance and rebuild processes.
  • Participate in structured training and mentorship programmes.
  • Build a long-term career in the engineering and mining industries.

Minimum Requirements

Educational Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate).
  • At least two languages, including English.
  • Mathematics (Pure or Technical).
  • Physical Science.
  • A minimum of two additional subjects.

Advantageous qualifications:

  • Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD) or Engineering Drawing.
  • Engineering Diploma (Mechanical or Electrical).

Technical Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Minimum N2 qualification with:
    • Fitting Theory
    • Electrical Theory

Additional advantages:

  • Basic knowledge of electronics.
  • Exposure to an engineering or workshop environment.
