About the Programme
As an Engineering Trainee Operative, successful candidates will receive structured product training and practical workplace experience on Sandvik mining equipment. The programme aims to develop competent artisans who can contribute to the mining and infrastructure sectors.
Trainees will be expected to:
- Attend and perform work as directed
- Follow all workplace policies and lawful instructions
- Complete training and assessments according to the training plan
- Maintain training records and logbooks
- Work towards achieving required competencies
- Prepare for and complete trade test requirements
- Conduct themselves professionally at all times
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Science
- Minimum N3 Engineering Studies qualification (compulsory)
- Institutional training in one of the following trades:
- Electrician
- Diesel Mechanic
- Fitter
- Physical and medical fitness to work in a mining environment
- Ability to meet customer vaccination requirements where applicable
