Fields of Studies Funded
The bursary is aimed at students who want to build careers in the water and infrastructure sector, one of South Africa’s most critical industries.
Successful applicants can receive funding in the following fields:
B. Tech or Bsc Degree in Civil Engineering: 1st year or 2nd year x 2
Bsc in Water Science and Sanitation Science: 2nd year x 1
Bsc Hons in Chemistry: 2nd year x 1
Diploma in Water Science and Technology: 2nd year x 1
B. Arch (Bachelors of architecture): 1st or 2nd year x 1
BSc or BEng in Electrical/Electronic Engineering: 1st year or 2nd year x 4
Bachelor of Geomatics / Surveying:1st year x 1
Bsc in Mechanical Engineering: 1st or 2nd year x 1
Bcom Accounting: 1st or 2nd year x 1
LLB: 2nd year x 3
Bsc Hons in Microbiology: 1st or 2nd year x 1
Masters of Public Health: 2nd year x 1
Minimum Requirements
Before applying, make sure you qualify:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be from a previously disadvantaged background (ACI)
- Currently studying (1st or 2nd year depending on qualification)
- Minimum 65% academic average
- Not receiving another bursary
- Under the age of 35
- Registered as a full-time student
