This is a rare entry-level pathway into a professional mining career, funded and structured over 24 months for candidates from local beneficiary communities.

Three Disciplines – 3 Positions Each
What Roles Are Available?
3× Ventilation Learner Official
Design and maintain ventilation systems to ensure adequate airflow across all underground working areas.
3× Survey Learner Official
Conduct accurate measurements of underground and surface workings to determine positions, distances, and levels.
3× Rock Engineering Learner Official
Evaluate rock mass behaviour, assess excavation stability, and design and recommend appropriate support systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
English, Mathematics & Physical Science (compulsory)
Minimum 50% for Mathematics & Physical Science
Minimum 60% for English
Medically fit to work in a mining environment
No criminal record
Beneficiary Community Requirements
- Must originate from a recognised local community of the Amandebult mine area
- Proof of residence required – letter from Traditional Authority or Municipality
- Must be currently unemployed
