Sanlam Group has opened applications for the MiWay Lead Generator Learnership Programme 2026 in Johannesburg.
This 12-month learnership programme is designed for unemployed South African youth who want to start a career in the insurance and financial services industry.

About the MiWay Learnership Programme

The learnership focuses on developing young talent and addressing the skills shortage in South Africa’s financial services sector.
During the programme, learners will work while studying and will complete the RE5 Regulatory Examination, a key qualification required to work in the insurance industry.
After completing RE5, learners can apply for professional membership with the Insurance Institute of South Africa.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the MiWay Learnership, applicants must:
Be a South African citizen
Be between 18 and 35 years old
Be unemployed
Have Matric / Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
Required School Marks
English: Minimum 50%
Second Language: Minimum 50%
Mathematics: Minimum 40%
OR
Mathematical Literacy: Minimum 60%
Additional Requirements
Applicants must also:
Have less than 1 year work experience
Not be studying at another institution
Not have completed a Short-Term Insurance Learnership through INSETA
Persons with disabilities must provide a medical confirmation letter
