About the Learnership
Unilever South Africa is offering an Unemployed Learnership Programme in Supply Chain for young people who want real factory experience with one of the world’s leading FMCG companies.
This learnership gives you hands-on training in automated packaging operations, workplace safety, quality control, and basic mechanical skills — preparing you for future opportunities in manufacturing and supply chain environments.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, you must have ONE of the following:
- Matric (National Senior Certificate) with Mathematics and Science, OR
- N2 / N3 / N4 Engineering qualification
What You’ll Learn & Do
- Operate and support automated packaging machines
- Perform production line cleaning and general operations
- Conduct equipment and safety checks before start-up
- Monitor product and packaging quality
- Identify faults and report issues early
- Prepare raw materials for production
- Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Support eco-efficient and sustainable factory practices
- Complete all learnership assessments, logbooks, and assignments
