Sasol Mining is inviting young, technically minded South Africans to apply for its Apprentice Millwright Programme. This opportunity is ideal for matriculants and N3 certificate holders who are passionate about engineering, mechanical systems, and hands-on technical work.
🛠️ Purpose of the Apprenticeship
Successful candidates will undergo structured training to qualify as a certified Millwright, in line with the requirements of the QCTO (SETA) and the National Artisan Moderation Board (NAMB).
✅ Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have ONE of the following:
Option 1: National Senior Certificate (Matric) with passes in:
Mathematics / Technical Mathematics
English / Business English
Physical Science / Technical Science
OR
Option 2: N3 Certificate (equivalent to Grade 12) including:
Mathematics
Engineering Science
Business English / Communication
📚 Training Will Include
Electrical equipment
Mechanical equipment
Maintenance of underground production equipment
Safety prerequisites for equipment
Good housekeeping practices
👤 Required Personal Attributes
Good communication skills
Computer literate
Proactive and self-starter
Self-motivated
Team player
Willingness to learn
