The Department of Human Settlements (DHS) has opened applications for the Scholarship Programme, offering full financial support to qualifying South African youth pursuing studies in built environment and human settlements–related fields.

✅ Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Have excellent matric results
  • Be a youth applicant entering undergraduate studies
  • Have no previous tertiary qualification
  • Demonstrate financial need

📄 Required Documents

Ensure all documents are ready before applying:

  • DHS Scholarship application form (from official website)
  • Certified copy of South African ID
  • Certified copy of June/December Matric results
  • Proof of residence
  • Provisional acceptance letter from an accredited institution
  • Proof of household income (parent/guardian salary slip)
  • Certified copies of parent/guardian IDs
